Application: Throhne, Orc Warlock

Postby Absolute » Tue Jan 15, 2013 8:03 pm

1. Character name, class, and primary spec:

Throhne, Orc Warlock, Affliction

2. Your age and location:

21, Brazil

3. Link your Armory profile:
(Please remember to log off in your PvE gear so we can make a serious evaluation of your armory profile.)

4. How did you hear about Standing in Fire?

5. Describe your offspec gear sets. If you play any level 90 alts, link their Armory profile(s) here:

I play Demonology mostly for fun and a couple fights that benefit that spec, such as H Feng and Wind Lord. I don't really have a gear set for Demonology, the difference wouldn't be so pressing.

My main is a Shadow Priest,

6. Describe in detail your previous raiding experience. Include any experience in classic WoW, TBC, WotLK, and Cataclysm, and list significant hard-mode achievements you have completed. If you have any logs available (wmo, wws, wol) link them here:

Started playing in Firelands, as a Blood DK. Went as far as N Rag and H Shannox, not much more. Did progression on H DS pre-nerf, got H Morchokk and H Ultra, completed the raid on H after a couple nerfs. Rerolled Priest and Warlock, which are the only two 90s I have now.

I was a Raid Leader and GM on MoP, had to deal with a lot of 'children', therefore I ended up leaving and transfering to Arthas. Here I play on my Shadow Priest on Tall Grass guild, we're 4/16H 1/16H 4/4N with a lot of attempts on H SK and H Wind Lord.

H Elegon: ... s=24&e=510

H Blade Lord: ... 21&e=14410

H Feng: ... 609&e=4064

H Dogs: ... 178&e=3433

N Wind Lord: ... 195&e=7569

Those are all logs from my Priest, I don't have any on my Warlock yet due to not being in a raid guild at the moment.

7. List your usual play times. Can you maintain 90% attendance?

I usually am online 6-12 EST, if I'm not chances are I'm still on Skype/Facebook doing other stuff. I have no issues with attending the specified raid times for the guild.

8. List all other guild(s) you have been in and briefly detail why you left:

The guild I raided with on Firelands was awesome and very friendly, we started having roster issues and mostly everyone jus tbecame inactive, thus I left. After that, on DS progression, I had to leave for xmas and vacations, when I came back everyone had such a bad attitude and was wiping repeatedly to stupid stuff. I moved to a high end raid guild that I really couldn't attend to most raid times because it was like 4-7 AM. Transfered out after that.

I started my own guild with my own policies and members I trusted, put them to raid, we did well, but people got lazy on MoP, which was when it did matter. Had a lot of issues with people acting childish, didn't want to bring their problems to me and all they did was just rant, ninja log and purposefully wipe the raid. After kicking and recruiting so much, I just disbanded the guild and transfered again.

Now I'm doing pretty well, having fun as well as steady progression in Tall Grass guild.

9. Why do you want to join Standing in Fire?

Seems like a very solid and serious guild, just what I'm looking for.

10. List any friends, acquaintances, or references who are currently members of SiF:

None that I know of.

11. Do you have Ventrillo, a working mic, and a reliable internet connection?

Yes. Not the best latency but I manage it.

12. Which do you use: DeadlyBossMods, BigWigs, or Deus Vox?

13. Is English your primary language? If not, what other languages do you speak?

Portuguese is my primary language, but I speak English just fine.

14. Would you rather be a stalactite or a stalagmite?

Stalactite, I guess. Since stalagmite is so fragile.

15. Tell us something about yourself.

I'm an engineering student that lives by himself on a small house in the middle of nowhere, enjoys Guns 'n Roses, Steve Vai, Dio and System of a Down. Been gaming for a while, have like 7 years of DotA experience, then moved to Wow looking for something more entertaining.

I'm pretty dedicated and patient, like to socialize and discuss about wow, poker and politics.

16. Repeat your answer to question 15, but talk like a pirate.

17. Post a screen shot of your UI in a raid setting. Display your FPS and ping mouseover in the shot.

This should work fine

Hi Throhne,
Thank you for your interest, and I don't mean to chase you off, but we are looking for raiders who will be playing on their main characters.
